ETOSHA MOUNTAIN LODGE

A Classic Namibian Haven in Etosha Heights Private Reserve

About Etosha Mountain Lodge

Well-established, comfortable, and classically Namibian in style, Etosha Mountain Lodge is the perfect sanctuary from which to discover the iconic wildlife of Etosha Heights. Nestled deep within a vast, exclusive private reserve far from tourist crowds, this lodge allows you to experience the true peace and solitude of the Namibian wilderness.

With only nine chalets in total, it stands out as an idyllic hideaway for families, couples, or small travel groups seeking the most personalized, intimate, and crowd-free of safaris. Have your cameras ready for throngs of antelope and trumpeting herds of elephants watering nearby as you explore the reserve.

Exclusive Accommodations

The lodge offers a highly private boutique lodging configuration designed to meet the highest standards of wilderness comfort:

  • Luxury Rooms (8 Rooms): Thoughtfully designed units that can easily convert from twin setups (two 3/4 beds) to spacious double configurations boasting a King-size bed. Each ensuite bathroom is fitted with both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. Over-bed fans, dedicated charging stations, and private verandas overlooking the expansive reserve complete the offering. Max: 2 adults.
  • Suite / Family Unit (1 Suite): A perfect setup for families combining a twin and a double room layout with all standard luxury amenities, elevated by the addition of its own private plunge pool built into the wooden veranda decking. Max: 2 adults and 2 children.

*Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at all accommodation types.

Rhino Conservation & Safari Activities

Because the lodge is positioned in Etosha Heights, guests gain exclusive access to tailored safaris led by specialized local guides:

  • Rhino Tracking: Track endangered black and white rhinos on foot or via custom 4x4 vehicles in a sanctuary world-renowned for hosting high populations of these majestic, elusive beasts.
  • Night Game Drives (On Request): Embark on an exciting excursion after an early dinner (weather permitting). Unlike daytime drives, night safaris offer a unique window to observe rare nocturnal predators, insects, and birds roaming free.
